Geoservices recognises that training and development are integral parts of an effective quality assurance system. Technical proficiency, a readiness to face challenges and a dedication to clients are the qualities we encourage among our international teams.
Acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills
Even the best graduates don't come equipped with the skills necessary for our specialist well site operations. These will be acquired in one of the specialist training centres used by Geoservices around the world and at a field-training site.
This initial course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of the special Geoservices techniques and equipment used to carry out the job. The new recruit will also undertake various tests to make sure that there are no weak spots in their knowledge. Refresher courses and ongoing training ensure that our engineers keep abreast of rapidly changing technologies.
Building a career
Once significant experience has been gained, many opportunities exist to progress by stages to even more responsible positions around the world. This progression will depend entirely upon the way the individual develops his or her competencies and experience and demonstrates their reliability and worth. Geoservices will provide support for these new and increased responsibilities through specific management training courses.
Motivated individuals may progress to the highest levels in our company; it is our policy to promote internally whenever possible and many of our senior executives started with us as geologists or engineers. Communications are thus excellent between management and field personnel, and opportunities for career development are wide open.
