 Mud Logging Geologist

The scope of the mud logger's job is to assist with, or have direct responsibility for, the effective management of the mud logging unit, including personnel and equipment. He or she assists other well site personnel and the drilling operation by monitoring and recording drilling parameters, drilling fluid properties and pumping parameters, and providing primary well control surveillance by plotting pressure trends. The mud logger is also responsible for information on the rock formations being drilled by describing geological cuttings and monitoring gas shows.

You must have a background in geology or applied physical earth sciences. Experience in the oil industry is preferable but not essential. We require mature, practical, serious-minded people who are able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision.
Furthermore, you must have the aptitude to absorb a wide range of technical information including geology, chemistry, mechanics, electricity, electronics and computer science.

 Drilling Data Engineer

The Drilling Data Engineer monitors the well, maintains sensors and data acquisition equipment. He creates detailed daily and final well reports based on the data gathered during well operations. He also supports any other senior Geoservices personnel assigned to the well site such as the Unit Manager or the Senior Data Engineer.

The primary objective of the Drilling Data Engineer is to acquire, log, analyse and report well behaviour at the well site to aid safe and efficient well operations.

 Field Engineer

A two-year program is designed to provide trainees with a strong foundation in technical and strategic skills to prepare them for global business leadership. During the program, you will have various rotational work assignments. One out of two rotations will be in the field and the others will be cross-functional rotations in different areas of the business such as research and development, marketing, planning and budgeting…

Candidates must possess a master of science or a master of engineering in any of these disciplines: chemistry, physics, geology, mining or petroleum engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer sciences or mathematics. Geographically mobile, you seek an international career. In addition to having a good command of English, you ideally also speak one other European language. Candidates must show strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills.

 Slickline Assistant Operator

Slickline assistant operators assist the slickline operators in performing well completion, maintenance and servicing. You must have a technical background (mechanical, electronics …). Experience in the oil industry is preferable but not essential. We require mature, practical, serious-minded people who are able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision.

You must be able to communicate effectively in English and be prepared to travel anywhere in the world. The nature of the work requires being away from home for periods that may be quite long.

 Slickline Operator

Geoservices' slickline operators perform well completion, maintenance and servicing. They are responsible for putting in place or removing downhole tools (gauges, safety valves, BEST, etc.). They must have broad working experience on different downhole tools and valves.

 Slickline Chief Operator / Supervisor

The Slickline Chief Operator works in a demanding environment and will either operate equipment and acquire downhole data or supervise a crew of personnel to perform this task. Slickline equipment can be used to perform a large number of downhole operations using perforating guns, running tools, pulling tools or downhole electronic gauges.

This job requires excellent team spirit, the ability to work independently when needed, a capacity to work under pressure and a willingness to work outdoors in all weathers. In short, we need an adventurous, hard working, dependable, team player that is keen to learn and has ambition.

We are looking for a BSc or MSc in engineering, physics or earth sciences and ideally candidates will have with 3 years' experience and an ability to speak French.
